Your radiotherapy team might ask you to use a specific breathing technique, known as DIBH, during your radiotherapy treatment.
Click on the image to access the Respire website. This website contains a series of resources designed for patients who may need to learn how to hold their breath for a short time during radiotherapy. For some patients, this is known to keep the area to be treated away from sensitive structures such as the heart. If you are not expected to need to use the breath hold technique you may still find some of the resources helpful.
This leaflet, published by the Society and College of Radiographers, provides patients receiving radiotherapy with up-to-date skincare guidance. The information is based on expert consensus and review of the available evidence. The information is endorsed by Breast Cancer Now.
