We are thrilled to have you join the East of England Radiotherapy Network. We hope this is a useful summary of the East of England Radiotherapy Network. More information can be found in the Network section of the website.
The Network Oversight Group (NOG) comprises 3 clinical members from each department within the Network: Head of Radiotherapy, Head of Radiotherapy Physics, and a Clinical Oncologist. The group also comprises a Chair (Medical Director at CUHFT; currently Dr Sue Broster); a Deputy Chair (Dr Sarah Jefferies, CUHFT); a Network Clinical Lead (Dr Daniel Holyoake, NNUHFT); a Specialised Commissioning Representative (Patrick Hobbs); East of England Cancer Alliance Representative (Gini Melesi); Network Manager (Michelle Bates); and Network project Manager (Alison Bowman).
The NOG facilitates the ongoing development of the Network and is responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of an annual work programme. The work programme is designed to improve outcomes for patients, including higher cure rates and fewer side effects from treatments.
The Network receives it's annual core funding from the Regional Specialised Commissioning team. This funding is used for core Network team members salaries; a Network hosting fee (payable to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as host of the Network); an annual Network Study Day; and some additional costs such as printing and travel expenses for patient representatives etc. The NOG oversees the utilisation of any remaining funding.
There are several workstreams designed to support delivery of the annual work programme and within these workstreams are a number of working groups . We always welcome new members to the working groups. Your line manager may ask you to be a representative on a group, or you are welcome to ask your line manager if you can join a group that may be of interest.
We also want to share our success stories, example case studies, top tips, journal publications, conference presentations, clinical trials updates, and job vacancies. We have a 'Network events, jobs, and news ' section on our website and use X to share your successes - so please share them with us!
If you would like us to share your success stories, add an event, share job vacancies etc, please contact us at: eofertnetwork@nnuh.nhs.uk.

It is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in managing late-effects of cancer treatment. The goal is to share expert knowledge and best practices to ensure optimal management of treatment-related symptoms, while maintaining a patient-centred, holistic approach.
The group aims to continually improve outcomes by exploring advancements in treatment planning and management techniques.
The MDT is non-site specific and welcomes case discussions from across the region.
